Kaylyn Steward Jackson is an ambitious and passionate Howard University chemistry major, who is dedicated to equity, health, and wellness. As a well-rounded sophomore at a prestigious HBCU, Kaylyn, who is fluent in Arabic, is also a Target Scholar and a member of the Health Professions Society. With a 5.23 GPA, Kaylyn graduated early in the top 3% of her class at Lanphier High School in 2020. Since then, she’s taken on a variety of roles, like tutoring science and math, completing an NAACP internship, and working as a hospitality aid.
In 2020, Kaylyn volunteered 80 hours of her time for the Virtual Global Health Fellowship, FMRIC, where she conducted research on hypertension and health-care disparities and attended seminars on diseases common in third-world countries. During this role, Kaylyn shadowed physicians from all over the world.
With her ambition and drive, Kaylyn is changing the world one project at a time and is determined to make her mark in the online retail industry. She has proven that with determination, hard work, and a little bit of entrepreneurial spirit, we can all achieve our dreams.
